Commonly referred to as a "Breeches Bible" because in Genesis, this translation has Adam and Eve taking fig leaves and sewing 'breeches' instead of loincloths once they realized their nakedness. This is a modern facsimile reprint of a 1599 edition. Although an earlier printing than most would prefer, the binding will set this off and become an enhancement to a room or event. A very special gift to any Biblical scholar.
This rebinding is done with hand dyed, hand polished and hand tooled calf leather. The text edges sprinkled. The end papers (front and back) are of marbled paper. Included is a brass book clasp that keeps the word of God safe until the scripture is read.
