Mastering the art of writing with a quill is a daunting task. Yet, it is amplified as difficult if one tries to cut their own quill before they learn to write with one.

You may note in the photo that the feather portion has been trimmed away from the shaft. Examining original painting and etches show that full feather quills were basically non-existent. They cleared the shaft for comfort when holding.

These quality goose pen quills are pre-cut and very affordable.
