It was not until her passing away did people notice her definite female anatomy, The author, Giovanni Bianchi, who was a Professor of Anatomy at Sienna and the surgeon who performed the autopsy (in their term 'dissected her') finished this tale with a graphic telling of the proof of her virginity. Interesting reading as a unusual story and from a medical aspect as well.
