While researching, we found a multitude of "Everyman His Own Physician" publications, some better than others. This was our favorite and is much different than the issue published by the presses of Colonial Williamsburg. For reasons such as;  Doctors were not as plentiful as today, in outlying areas made travelling for medical services difficult and some could seldom afford frequent visits, a pamphlet like this came in handy. Originally published to give the average person a guide to common and easily diagnosed ailments and their cures. This could almost be classified as 'humor' because some cures seem almost as bad as the disease.
