From the title it shows from the start that the author wanted to teach how the English shoot. Pointed toward the young Sportsmen, this 1770's pamphlet discusses more about the use of a fire-lock than many of the 'sporting' works. Although brief, it is a nice non-poetic instruction including how to choose a Fowler (shotgun), loading and shooting, and how to hunt certain species of Fowl. A great addition for a flintlock smoothbore shooter or hunter.
