We have all heard that after the French & Indian War, the British government wanted the colonies to bare part of the expense of the late war. One such tax was to take the use of paper. Ergo, paper was "Stamped" to show that tax was collected on that sheet. (See my "About" page to see a sample of one such stamp). This pamphlet depicts ten reasons, from certain members of Parliament, on why the bill placed before them to repeal the Stamp Act should not stand. Their reasons are interesting but not at all casting the American Colonies as impudent step children as we have been lead to understand. An important perspective for students of politics and the American Revolution.
